Goodbye Termites, Ants, and Roaches

Removing Unwanted House Guests: Bees, Squirrels, And Bats

As a homeowner, sooner or later you are going to have to deal with unwanted animals in your home. It might be an errant squirrel that has made its way into your attic, or it could be a group of bats roosting in your dormers. Whatever the case, it is a good idea to know how to get rid of these pests. Unlike common pests such as rodents, ants, and roaches, these animals require professional removal services.

Here is what to expect in each scenario.

Dealing with Stubborn Squirrels

Squirrels belong outdoors, climbing trees, not in your attic running around and causing havoc. So, if you happen to have squirrels, you will need to remove them. Luckily, it is rather easy for an expert to come in and remove them. All that needs to be done is for the areas of egress to be sealed up so that the squirrels cannot enter and exit the attic. Next, the expert will place traps and then leave the attic. After a few days, the professional will return and check the traps.

The squirrels will then be removed and let loose outside where they belong.

Ridding Your Attic of Bats

This pest is a bit trickier to remove than squirrels, but nevertheless, bats can be safely removed from your attic. The first thing that the bat removal experts do is determine where the bats enter and leave every night. Once that entry point is determined, an exclusion net will be set up. These nets are designed to allow bats to leave but prevent them from returning into the house. After a period of a few weeks, when all of the bats are gone, the access points will be sealed up with a fine metal mesh that the bats cannot enter through.

Honeybee Removal Services

Not all bees are dangerous and, therefore, don't immediately jump for a can of wasp spray. Honeybees are actually very important and beneficial creatures. There are services that are designed to remove them from your property and safely transport them to hives where they can be productive bees and help pollinate the area.

You should look for a honeybee removal service that will promise to safely and humanely remove the bees. This is done with a combination of smoke and vacuums. The bees are then brought to an empty beehive where they are allowed to settle in and make a new home.

Goodbye Termites, Ants, and Roaches

Termites, ants, and roaches have to be some of the most common and most annoying household pests. Roaches make your home smell, and they also spread disease. Termites can chew anything made from wood to bits, and ants are just creepy with their tiny legs and nest-building capabilities. Pest control companies can keep all these nasty insects away, and they can also help manage less-common pests like earwigs and house centipedes. As annoying as pests are, pest control is a pretty interesting topic, and it's one we explore in more depth on this website. Start reading, and say goodbye to ants, roaches, and termites for good.
